1. We accept checks, Visa
or MasterCard credit cards. We cannot accept any other forms of payment.
2. In order to secure a reservation, a 10% deposit must accompany a completed reservation form. Checks are to be made out to “UC Regents-Family Vacation Center”. After January 15, 2011, 50% of total reservation is due at time of reservation with final payment being made April 1, 2011. After April 1, 2011 full payment is due at the time of the reservation.
3. At least
one adult per suite must be a member of a University of
California Alumni Association in order to attend. Anyone can be a member of the UCSB Alumni Association, you do not have to have graduated from UCSB. Chico State, Pepperdine and Utah State Alumni Association memberships are also welcome. If completing your reservation online, you may add this to your reservation. Checks, for membership ONLY, are to be made out to “UCSB Alumni Association.” This should be done at time of reservation.
4. Reservations can be made
online, by FAX, by mail, or over the phone. To request a
pdf version of the form, email us at vacation@ia.ucsb.edu.
5. If you book prior to January 15, 2011 a deposit of 10% is due at the time of reservation. As of January 15, 2011 50% of the total reservation is due and final payment is due April 1, 2011. Any vacations not paid in full by April 1, 2011 forfeit their reservation and all monies paid.
6. All cancellations of confirmed reservations must be made IN WRITING. Cancellation fee before January 15, 2011 is $50. The cancellation fee up until 30 days before your vacation is the deposit of $100. The Cancellation fee between January 16, 2011 and 30 days before the start of your vacation is $100. Cancellations made less than 30 days before the start of the vacation assess a 25% cancellation fee if the week is full, but if it is not full there will be a $100 cancellation fee. 7. If we are unable to book you initially, you will receive either telephone or email notification that you have been placed on a waiting list. You will not be charged any fees if you are placed on a waiting list. These lists are used extensively through the spring and summer. Our office will contact you
8. Canceling one individual from your party will result in a full refund for that individual up until the start of your vacation, unless as a result you do not meet the minimum number for your suite, at which point a $450 supplemental space fee will be assessed. If you cancel an individual after the start of your vacation, a 50% refund for that individual will be issued.
9. UCSB Graduate Discount: Valid for UCSB graduate and his or her suite-mates only. Applies to Room and Board total.
10. UC Faculty & Staff Discount: Valid for UC Faculty and Staff members and his or her suite-mates only. Applies to Room and Board total.
11. Former FVC Staffer: Valid for Former FVC Staffers and his or her suite-mates only. Applies to Room and Board total.
Note: Limit of one discount per suite for numbers 9, 10 & 11.
12. "Refer a Friend" Discount:
This $50 discount for Room and Board is to reward loyal customers that refer us to their friends. Not only will the referring family receive a $50 discount, but so will the referred family!! It is open for all 2011 enrolled families. The following rules apply: (1) Referring family must be coming to the FVC in 2011. (2) Referred family must be new to the FVC program and will need to put the referring family's name on their reservation form at the time of reservation - sorry no exceptions. (3) Valid through June 30, 2011.
13. “Review” Discount: This $50 discount for Room and Board is to reward vacationers for completing an online review of the Family Vacation Center. It is open for all 2011 enrolled families. The following rules apply: (1) Must complete the review on a valid travel website. (2) Must email link of the review to vacation@ia.ucsb.edu.
14. Teen Friend Discount: Bring a teen friend and receive half off that friend. The following rules apply: (1) Teen must be 13-21 years of age. (2) Cannot be an immediate family member (for example: son or daughter or a sibling) (3) Limit 2 teen discounts per suite.
15. Partial Stays: Do you
have a husband or daughter that isn't able to make it for the full week? One
option is to have them reserve as a "partial stay". Partial stays
are able to participate in all the regular FVC activities. The rates (per
night) are as follows (Note: maximum of 3 nights allowed).

16. Priority Registration: In an attempt to reward our many loyal families, we provide priority registration until November 30, 2010. Priority Registration is broken up into two periods: November 1-14 (Priority #1) and November 15-30 (Priority #2). Priority Registration #1 allows families that vacationed with us in summer of 2010 priority placement for both their week preference (if coming same week as 2010) and suite preference (if same suite as 2010). Priority Registration #2 is open to all returning vacationers regardless of which year they have vacationed with us and particular week they are requesting. Every attempt will be made to satisfy room and week requests after November 30, 2010, however priority placement ends effectively on November 30, 2010. Returning vacationers registering after that date will have the same priority as new vacationers. |
